The SeaCleaners - Created in 2016, The SeaCleaners takes concrete action to prevent and mitigate plastic pollution. At sea : they collect floating plastic waste in high concentration areas before it sinks or breaks down into microplastics. They also contribute to scientific knowledge through research and open data sharing. On land : they alleviate the problem at its source through education and public awareness initiatives. Their flagship project is the Manta, an environmentally friendly high-tech ship, which will be launched in 2024.
