Oceanographic Institute of Monaco

The Oceanographic Institute of Monaco - Created in 1906 by Prince Albert I of Monaco, the Oceanographic Institute is a foundation recognised as being of public utility. It is committed to improving knowledge of the richness and the fragility of the oceans, and to promote their sustainable management and protection. For over a century, it brings together scientific, political, economic and associative actors as well as the general public to "know, love and protect the ocean". Alongside the Clean Seas Campaign, the institute coordinates the Coalition of World Aquariums against Plastic Pollution
