Enter for a chance to win a trip to the International Marine Debris Conference in San Diego in 2018!
UN Environment’s #CleanSeas campaign is fighting plastic pollution at the source so that it does not reach our precious oceans. We want to see your best photos related to marine litter and oceans in the following categories:
- Marine Habitats at Risk
- Humans: The Marine Litter Problem/Solution
- Underwater Photography
- Macro Photography
The Challenge jury will also award a “Best in Show” Jury Prize.
Prize: Winners will be provided airfare and a daily stipend to attend the 6th International Marine Debris Conference in San Diego, California, USA from 12-16 March 2018.
How do I enter?
To enter the #CleanSeasPhoto Challenge, just follow these two steps:
- Fill in the online entry form, providing a photo caption of less than 110 characters and description of less than 200 words, and submit the photo (minimum width 1754 pixels at 150 ppi, maximum file size 5 MB)
- Get social! If you have a Twitter or Instagram account, post the image using the competition hashtag #CleanSeasPhoto and mentioning or tagging @UNEP. We'll retweet some of your photos on the UN Environment Twitter account, @UNEP and repost on the UN Environment Instagram account.
The deadline for entries is 23 June 2017.
A jury will choose the winning photographs in each category.
What if I’m under 18?
You have to be over 18 to enter the contest, but that doesn’t stop you joining the campaign on social media! Take a photo in support of the campaign and post it on your Twitter or Instagram or account with the hashtag #CleanSeasPhoto and mentioning @UNEP.
